Margaret Nyambura Ndung’u (PhD) - Founder and Managing Director

Dr. Margaret Nyambura Ndung’u is the founder and managing director of INIITKenya.  She is an information scientist with over 25 years work experience in the ICT Sector.   She holds a PhD in information systems, an MBA in management science and a Bsc in information science.  She has published in journals and books on innovating uses of ICTs.

She has coordinated regional projects funded by Vodafone, International Development Research Centre (IDRC), World Bank and NEPAD.  She has also consulted at the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA), World Bank and the International Trade Centre where she was seconded to the ICT Authority.  

From August 2019 to June 2023, she has been seconded to the Africa Union Commission where she has been supporting the Policy and Regulation Initiative for Digital Africa  (PRIDA) as a Senior Regulatory and Internet Governance Expert.


Professor Clement Dzidonu, Founding member and the President of Accra Institute of Technology (AIT)

Professor Clement K. Dzidonu is a highly respected figure in the field of computer science and technology. He is the President of the Accra Institute of Technology (AIT) and a Senior Research Fellow at the International Institute of Information Technology (INIIT). With a distinguished academic career spanning several prestigious institutions, he has taught and conducted research at Trinity College – University of Dublin (Ireland), Makerere University (Uganda), National University of Science and Technology (Zimbabwe), and other renowned universities.

Professor Dzidonu is a prominent Computer Scientist with over 100 scientific papers and several textbooks to his name. He has been actively involved in ICT-related and capacity development projects in Africa and Europe for over 25 years. Serving as a consultant to international organizations like the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) and the World Bank, he has advised various African governments, including Ghana, Ethiopia, and Nigeria.

Beyond his academic pursuits, Professor Dzidonu has contributed to the field through his membership in professional bodies such as the British Computer Society (UK) and the New York Academy of Sciences (USA). He has received numerous awards and honors for his outstanding achievements, including the Meritorious Award for Distinguished Services to the Field of Computer by the International Biographical Center (IBC) and the Life Achievement Award at the 1st Ghana ICT Awards.

In 2003, Professor Dzidonu made history by becoming the first African to win the World Technology Award, joining the ranks of global leaders like Tony Blair and Al Gore. His contributions to computer science and technology have been celebrated internationally, as evident from his recognition in the Who’s Who in the World and the Who’s Who in Science and Engineering.

Professor Dzidonu’s impact extends beyond academia, as he has served on national and international boards, contributing his expertise to strategic decision-making processes. He continues to inspire and shape the future of computer science through his leadership, research, and commitment to capacity development in Africa and beyond.

Anne Mwangi - Communications Manager

Anne Mwangi brings a unique blend of strengths to her work with over 25 years’ experience in communication and administration. She has worked in Advertising, Non-Government Organisations, Management and Human Resource Consultancies, and Education. She has skills in multiple areas including HR administration, company liaison, strategic and organization development.
She serves as the Communication Consultant for INIIT Kenya where she reviews and edits research material. In addition to the directors, the firm has a pool of technical experts whose services are engaged on a need be basis dictated by the kind of project being handled.

Enoch Bosire - Systems Administrator

Enoch Bosire is an Enterprise Systems Administrator with 8 years’ experience in ICT sector. He is responsible for designing, implementing, training and monitoring implemented systems for INIIT Kenya. He has a wide range of experience in Operating systems, Storage systems and computer systems.
INIIT has a pool of technical experts whose services are engaged on a need be basis dictated by the kind of project being handled.
